General Information
This program offers antenatal and postnatal care, working with clients and their families to deliver holistic health care. The midwife, with the assistance of the health worker, deliver antenatal services in a comfortable clinic setting. Postnatal services are offered at the clinic or at home depending on the woman’s preference until the baby is six (6) weeks old.
The midwife is on hand to give advice and support after the birth until the baby is six (6) weeks old when the mother and baby will be referred on to the New Directions Mothers and Babies (NDMB) program for ongoing care with the Child Family Health Nurse.
