PUBLIC HEALTH

The Public Health Worker (PHW) and other WAMS staff are regularly invited to school, community events, workplaces and other venues to give personal development lessons on health and social matters.

The PHW conducts regular visits to the homes of clients to ensure basic health services are provided.  This includes: dressings, blood pressure checks, monitoring Blood sugar levels and other general health checks given the medical condition of  the client.

The PHW also assists the other WAMS staff in the delivery of their programs and integrates the Public Health aspect to the clients - i.e. Hearing Health, Eye Health, Drug and Alcohol, Sexual Health, Dental Health and Midwifery.
