The position of Aboriginal Health Worker based in Collarenebri, 75km from Walgett has been filled by Patricia Hall.
Located at the local Health Service and supported by WAMS staff who deliver programs to the community.
Following is a ‘personal profile’ of our new Aboriginal Health Worker:
My name is Patricia Hall and I am a local Aboriginal Woman of the Collarenebri. I’ve started work with Walgett Aboriginal Medical Service on the 7th January 2008 as the Aboriginal Health Worker (AHW). I will be based in Collarenebri. At this stage I am settling into my new position as an AHW which I am enjoying very much. This has been a new challenge for me, I’ve been learning how to complete paper work, how to submit reports, how to document information correctly. I will be assisting with coordinating Specialist visits to Collarenebri and will work and liaise with the WAMS staff at Walgett and also the Collarenebri Health Service staff.
