WAMS sincerely thank everyone who came to our community to celebrate our twenty years of service.
The staff and Directors were committed to ensure that this event went off as planned and it did!! The week long activities started off with the Street Parade through Walgett on Monday, 10th, starting at the Pool and finishing off behind the Council Chambers. There was also a Photography Exhibition and a walk through the WAMS Offices featuring a Documentary "WAMS at Work".
Tuesday, 11th, featured an Arts & Crafts Demonstration and a Baby Competition. Wednesday was a huge day with WAMS hosting a Family and Community Day at No 1 Oval. There was entertainment all day, featuring Troy Cassar-Daly as well as Jimmy Little, Roger Knox, Dorothy the Dinosaur, the Simmos and Local Knowledge. The winners of the Artwork Competition were also announced. On Wednesday night we had the fabulous fireworks at No 1 Oval.
Thursday night WAMS hosted the Ball at the Sporting Club. This night was fully booked and everyone had a great night.
